From time to time, each of us feels tired. Physically, mentally, emotionally. There are a lot of factors why we experience exhaustion. What’s puzzling is that sometimes (or most of the time), we do not even know why we feel tired.
We get too busy or occupied with whatever we are doing, that it consumes your being, burning you out until you get numbed from all of it. What are we to do? I have no clear cut answer for it, my friend. One thing is certain — we have to STOP, take time out, and smell the flowers all around us. I know it helps, 100% of the time.
This might be some sort of “hell season” for you. I also feel like I’m in a rut at times, believe me. Frankly, I still find it amazing how things are going, despite how they were looking as the year started.
“A moment’s insight is sometimes worth a life’s experience.” – – Oliver Wendell Holmes
One factor for being exhausted is when we do things that we are not happy to do (like the work you do in order to earn money to “live”). On the days when you are not working, spend time to unwind, to have fun, to take off steam. That is what the weekend is for, that is what friends and family are for.
Things may not be going well now. Do not fret. The wheel of fortune keeps on turning, my friend. Persevere and you will have what is yours to deserve.
“The antidote to exhaustion may not be rest but wholeheartedness… we are typically exhausted because we are not doing our TRUE work.” – Gordon T. Smith
I’m sorry, I am rambling (There’s a reason why I don’t write a lot). I’ll wrap this up.
Find ways to do what you love doing, and doing it everyday then eventually making a living from it is the next goal. While you are in the process of “getting there”, do not forget to PAUSE — Take time to enjoy and appreciate what you see around you. SMILE.
Smell the flowers 🙂
